URIResidence Announcements
The URI Academic Calendar reveals that the upcoming fall semester will be jam-packed with activities. In addition to classes, there will be numerous opportunities for students to get involved on campus. Some of the major events taking place this semester include:
* URIResidence Open House – On Saturday, September 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., URIResidence will be open to all students who wish to tour the residence halls and meet their roommates.
* Fall Festival – On Saturday, October 13, URI will host its annual fall festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in front of the Student Union Building. The festival will feature a variety of activities, including a petting zoo, arts and crafts, food trucks, and more.
* Homecoming Dance – On Friday, October 26 from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m., the URI homecoming dance will take place in the Mullins Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets are available online at www2.uri.edu/homecoming or at the box office in the Student Union Building beginning on September 1st.

The URI Academic Calendar Reveals – Season has been released and it is already clear that the semester will be packed with events! Here are a few of the most noteworthy dates:

Upcoming Events
The URI Academic Calendar has been updated to include information on upcoming events. This includes information on fall semester classes, winter break, and summer terms.
Fall semester classes commence on September 5th and run through December 17th. Winter break begins on December 18th and ends on January 2nd, 2018. Summer term begins on June 4th and runs through August 22nd.
There are a number of events taking place during fall semester and winter break, including the URI Film Festival (October 1-3rd), the URI Annual Commencement Ceremony (December 12th), and the Battle of the Bands Competition (March 2nd). There are also many events scheduled for summer term, including a screening of The Shape of Water (June 11th), the 100 Year Celebration of John Dewey (July 28th), and the 10 Year Anniversary of URI’s Women’s Rugby Team (August 18th).

Registration Process
If you are interested in registering for courses during the upcoming semester, please follow these instructions:
1. Log into your My URI account.
2. Click on the “Academic Calendar” tab.
3. On the Academic Calendar page, click on the “Registration Process” link.
4. You will be directed to a new page, which will outline the registration process for the current semester.

Faculty and Staff Updates
The URI Academic Calendar reveals the upcoming academic seasons for faculty and staff. This year’s calendar contains updates for fall, winter, spring and summer semesters.
Fall semester begins on September 6 and ends on December 12. Classes will be held from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. every day except Saturday, which is 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Winter semester begins on January 5 and ends on May 10. Classes will be held from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. every day except Saturday, which is 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Spring semester begins on May 11 and ends on August 18. Classes will be held from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. every day except Saturday, which is 9 a.m.-3 p.m..
